Eucalyptus Essential Oil is obtained by steam distillation and rectification from the fresh leaves or the fresh branchlets of various species of eucalyptus.
The properties of Eucalyptus Oil are many making it an oil that can certainly go a long way. It can be used as an antiseptic, an insect repellant, a deodorant, for treating burns and blisters, aches and pains, plus who doesn't like the smell of Eucalyptus when they are feeling down with a cold.
It is a pale yellow liquid that blends well with Lavender Oil, Lemon Oil and Tea Tree Oil.

I have used this in my scrub soaps. Combined with Rosemary oil (for mental alertness) and poppy seeds, it makes an amazing wake- up early-morning shower soap.
I have also combined it with lavender in a batch of salt bars. Bizarrely, it seems to release its scent much more when actually being used than when just smelling the dry soap.
