Application: gives Earl Grey its flavour and also used as a common fragrance and fixative in cosmetics.

Hazard Identification

Not normally considered hazardous if good manufacturing procedures are adhered to.  Keep concentrated material away from foodstuffs.  Can irritate skin if exposed to sunlight.

First Aid Measures

Inhalation:

In the unlikely event, seek medical advice.

 

Eye contact:      

Wash eyes thoroughly with cold sterile water.  Seek medical advice if stinging persists after 10 minutes.

 

Skin contact:   

Wash off with soap and water.  Seek medical advice if irritation develops.

 

Ingestion:             

Do not induce vomiting.  Seek urgent medical attention.

Fire-Fighting Measures

Suitable extinguishers: water mist, carbon dioxide, foam or dry powder.

Unsuitable extinguishers: water jet.

Prevent from entering drains, surface and ground waters.

Cleaning: remove using absorbents then clean the area with hot water and detergent.

Storage conditions:             

Store in tightly closed original container, in a cool, dry and ventilated area away from heat sources and protected from light. Keep air contact to a minimum.

Keep away from possible sources of combustion.

Goggles and gloves should be worn if there is a risk of splashing.
